Eric Striffler was born in Manhattan but moved to Southampton when he was young. He grew up in the Hamptons, attending Southampton High School the the University of Rhode Island where he studied, pre-law, psychology and photography. He would later teach himself graphic design and became an art director and editor at 5 different magazines. He eventually pursued photography full time around 2002 and has been shooting stills and video ever since of beautiful homes, exotic locations, opulent hotels, restaurants and VIP events where his edgy editorial eye is sought after.

Eric's Images have been published in numerous books including Rocco Gets Real by Rocco DiSpirito, Delicious by Victoria Amory and the Rizzoli-published, "New York Parties" - An opulent and exciting look inside New York high-society entertaining—a collaboration with socialite & author Jamee Gregory.
When not taking photos, you can find Eric doing yoga, biking, snowboarding, scuba diving and playing golf. Eric has also resurrected his DJ career recently and you may hear him playing 7os disco or deep house grooves at hot Hamptons nightspots and high-end events.
His Fine Art Photography has been in several galleries as well as for years in the Kevin Maple Salon and Plaza Cafe restaurant in Southampton. His work has also been on the walls of other locations in the Hamptons including Bistro Ete restaurant in Water Mill and Plaza Cafe in Southampton.
Eric is a Hamptons native and grew up in Southampton, and has been photographing the Hamptons for 30+ years.
Eric shot and produced a mini-documentary on the daring and heart-wrenching rescue and feeding work of the animal-loving volunteers at RSVP Animal rescue group based in Riverhead.
He also was in Puerto Rico helping to re-build parts of an orphanage decimated by the hurricanes in 2019. He also documented this work in stills and video. The relief trip was underwritten by Doterra Essential Oils.
